Search for Books!

Want to find a book in the Foothill Library? Research a topic?

Want to find a book in the Foothill Library? Research a topic?

You can do all of that and more with Destiny Discover!

In the Destiny Discover box below, type in the name of any book or topic. Destiny Discover will search and list which books we have at Foothill. Books that we currently have inside the library are marked "IN" (green) in the upper left corner of the book picture. Books currently checked out of the library by students and staff will be marked "OUT" in red. By clicking on the book, you can read a brief description of it.

BUT WAIT!

If you'd like even MORE information about that book, mark it as one of your favorites or add it to a collection you can create, just log into Destiny Discover by either clicking on the Log In button below the book you've chosen or from the top left Destiny Discover drop-down menu. You just need your permanent ID number (your lunch number) to use for your username ~ the password is foothill (no caps) and you're all set!

When you arrive on your home Welcome page, you'll see a list of topics available for you to do a general search of the books we have in our library, along with books that have been recently added and many of our popular book titles. The Destiny Discover drop-down menu will appear right above your name where you will be able to edit your profile, see what books you currently have checked out, your history of check-outs (just in case you forgot whether or not you read that book!), fines you owe and help with Destiny Discover.

What's great is that Destiny Discover also allows you to research topics you're interested in by searching online Databases, such as National Geographic, Fact Monster, NASA, and more! There are also many articles in Destiny Discover's Open Educational Resources. HAPPY SEARCHING!!! (and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask Ms. Sears)
